RIP (Part 3)
Rip has been my foster for only three days, and already he’s done a remarkable job of making himself at home. Now we just need to find him a forever home. Here are some observations.
For one thing, he is very affectionate. If I sit down, he appears on my lap almost immediately. I’ve had to nudge his head aside once or twice so I could see the TV, but he usually accepts some scratches and then curls up.

Rip is very vocal. I mean, he talks a LOT. In other circumstances or with other cats, I might be worried at all the meow-ling, but I believe Rip just likes to talk with his human companion.
His has a soft, shiny, gorgeous coat, which he is fastidious about cleaning after meals.

He lets me handle his paws, which many cats won’t.
He isn’t crazy about the central heat unit or the humming sound it makes. Every time it clicks on he trots into the bedroom and under the bed, but as time passes he stays in there less and less. I think it’s just something foreign to him.
What I’m about to say, I don’t say lightly: Rip is a great cat, and he will make someone a loyal companion. And considering that he’s a youngster at just two years of age or so, he’ll be somebody’s good buddy for a long, long time.

Not every cat will let you hold them upside down and rub their belly, but Rip does.
