RIP (Part 5)

It’s the end of Week One as Rip’s foster dad, and I haven’t decided if he really is a lap cat, or if it’s my chair he’s after and it’s just that my lap sometimes happen to insert itself between chair and cat.

Either way, Rip knows how to assert ownership.

And this is Rip’s morning routine:

He sleeps in his own bed, which is on the floor next to mine. As soon as I begin to stir he senses it, hops onto the bed, walks across me and tells me he wants to be fed. If I don’t get right up, he sits and stares at me. Rip is a fellow who knows what he wants.
